Carlos Gomez Leal was born in Brazil in the renowned town named TEO FILO OTONI.
He was to become the most sought-after master of Paraiba and Kunzite cutter in Bangkok.

He has inherited the art of cutting that passes on through generations and started his training
when he was only 6 years old. He understands very well since his early age of what his father
has offered to him is an essential knowledge, which will perform a great deal in his future life as a cutter.

Along with his father in the Tourmaline mine, Carlos has learned the knowledge of color changing process using heat treatment.

His father knew that heat treatment and specific cutting technics for specific gemstones would become very important in the future and for the reason he sent him to Rio de Janiro and got him a position in H. Estern.
There he would affine his technique and develop skills in all fields of the cutting process and he would learn specific processes for most of the gemstone varieties available in Brazil.

With the age of 17 year-old, Carlos doesn’t have anything more to learn from Brazil and he is sent to
improve himself in other countries: Idar-Oberstein (Germany), Mozambic (Arfrica), Bogota (Colombian Emeralds), etc. After this experience he is ready to bring his knowledge to the Asian market and help cutters understand more about Emerald, Kunzite, and Tourmaline.

Cutting Machines Design:
Carlos traveled around the world and could compare all techniques and cutting traditions.
He is now building machines that are optimized for the best cutting quality for production of industrial quantities.
He is also taking care of the training, in site while setting up your cutting workshop, teaching your cutters how to get the best of theses machines.
He is famous in Bangkok for being able to cut difficult gemstones, slice and preform valuable and risky rough material, and he decided to simplify this cutting work for everybody by designing cutting machines optimized for factory production of specific gemstones.
